1. What's muveeMix all about?
muveeMix is simply the easiest way to mix your videos to music online.

Just upload your videos, pictures and a favorite tune and muveeMix will automatically create a stylish music video for you!

2. Why would I want to mix a muvee?
Got a blog (or two)? Do you like sharing your videos and pictures with friends online? That's why! And there's no fun in that unless you add in a little 'oomph'.

If you love grooving to music videos, why not make your own right? muveeMix lets you do this in a few easy steps and you can post the finished product – what we call 'muvees' – up on your blog, personal website, online profile…anywhere you have an audience!

3. Why do I have to sign up?
Well, when we've mixed your muvees, we'll need to send them to you. And we can't do that if we don't have your email address, right?

4. How do I sign up?
Click on 'Register' at the top right hand corner of muveeMix.com to get your very own FREE muveeMix account. All you need is an email address and password. It's a cinch. Then check your email and click on the activation link.

5. How do I log in?
Click on 'Login' at the top right hand corner of muveeMix.com and enter your email address and password to get to your muveeMix account.

 

ACCOUNT INFORMATION

6. What do I get with my free muveeMix account?
We'll give you space to store up to 10 muvees. On top of that, you can download some free music and choose from 5 cool video styles to make your muvees.

8. I've forgotten my password. Now what?
It happens to the best of us, don't sweat it. Go to the Login page, click on 'I forgot my password' and we'll sort you out.

9. I'm on the run and need to change my password.
Go to the login page and click on 'I forgot my password'. We've kept it easy regardless of whether you've forgotten your password or just feel like setting a new one.

10. I'm a bumper account user but I only see 5 styles. What's the deal?
Remember to log in to your account before you start mixing. You'll be able to see all your 10 styles then. Logging in tells us you're special. ;-)

 

COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

12. Hey, that material's not appropriate, could you take it down please?
In the event that you encounter such inappropriate or objectionable content, please notify us at complaint@muveemix.com. MUVEE shall undertake to review such content and in the event that MUVEE agrees with your opinion, MUVEE shall undertake to remove such content. Notwithstanding the above, you acknowledge that usage of the Services may expose you to such inappropriate content and expressly waives any rights of actions or claims as against MUVEE should you encounter such content while accessing or using the Services.

13. Hey, that material's mine, but I didn't put it up there. How do I get it down?
If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been infringed by another party, please send a written notification of claimed infringement as per the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to MUVEE at 133 Middle Road, Level 4 BOC Plaza, Singapore 188974, addressed to the Contracts and Compliance Manager. In addition, you may send such notification to the following email address dmcacomplaint@muveemix.com. Please include in such notification:

1. an electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright allegedly infringed;
2. Identification of the copyrighted work alleged to be infringed; or if multiple copyrighted works are alleged to be infringed, a representative list of such works.
3. Identification of the material that is allegedly infringing and that is to be removed or access to which denied and information so as to permit us to locate on the Website the material that is allegedly infringing;
4. your address, telephone number and email address;
5. a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
6. a statement by you, made under penalty of perjury that the above information provided by you is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

You acknowledge that if you fail to comply with all of the requirements in this section, your DMCA notification may not be valid.

 

USING muveeMix

14. So how do I start?
Easy. If this is your first visit, click on 'Mix a muvee!' (it's that large orange button on muveeMix.com's front page).

Not a newbie? You can either do the above or log in first. Works both ways.

If you're a bumper account user, you should log in first so you can see all your 10 styles.

15. How do I add my video and pictures?
Once you're in the 'Add video and pictures' screen, click the 'Browse' button to choose the videos and/or pictures you'd like to include in your muvee. Holding down Ctrl lets you select multiple files.

Remember though, you can only upload a combined total of 100MB of videos and pictures for each muvee that you make.

16. What formats must my video and pictures be in?
Chill, we've got all the major formats covered. For videos, MPG, MPEG, AVI and WMV are all good. For pictures, stick with JPG, JPEG and BMP and you'll be just fine.

17. How do I add a favorite tune?
This comes after you're done adding video and/or pictures. Click on 'Add music' and use the 'Browse' button to pick one of your own tunes for your muvee (not the copy-protected stuff of course).

Unless you've got a super-long music track, your audio file shouldn't be larger than 10MB (that's the max we can stomach). I just have one word for you, compression ;-)

18. What if I don't have music?
Dude, what century are you from?! We're kidding. We've got some free tunes that you can use, because we're nice like that.

19. What format must my music be in?
2 of the most popular music formats are supported: MP3 or WMA. Any others won't work for now.

20. What are these styles I have to select?
Do you want a dull slideshow like everything else out there or do you want a rockin' music video? That's what styles do…turn your video and pictures from 'blah' to 'wow'!

Would you prefer a modern Over the Top Music Video or a tinted old movie look? Choose the flavor of your style so we'll know how to make your muvee look.

You can even play a preview of each style so you'll have an idea of what you're gonna get.

21. When do my title and credits show up?
Like in a music video or movie, the title will appear at the start of your muvee and credits at the end. Duh.

22. Why do I need title and credits?
When you're showing your muvee off on your blog or website, don't you want others to know what it's about and who created or starred in it? How are you gonna be the next Internet music video star if you go incognito?

23. But I don't want a title or credits.
Shy? No problem, you don't NEED to fill 'em in. Being anonymous adds to the mystery and everyone loves a mysterious star.

24. Why is it uploading? What's happening?
We said we'd take of everything for you right? What's happening is your videos, pictures and music are being sent to our mixer. How else will we make you the next Internet music video star?

Don't close your web browser while this is happening though, or you'll kill the connection and get zip in return.

25. OK, it's uploaded. So where's my muvee?
Sit tight while our mixer works your media behind the scenes. It won't take very long and we'll email you a link to watch your muvee once it's ready.

Remember though, you'll need to activate your muveeMix account so we'll know how to get in touch. No activation, no muvee.

26. I've waited til I'm blue in the face and have not received any email. I logged in and my gallery's still empty! What's up with that?
We get it right most of the time but sometimes bad things happen to good people. Ping us at support@muvee.com and we'll get on the case ASAP, especially if you promise not to yell at us.

27. My gallery's blank and I'm pretty sure I made some muvees!
Have you activated your muveeMix account? Again, no activation, no muvee.

28. I had this great muvee in my gallery but now it's gone. Was it abducted by aliens?
Free accounts and bumper accounts let you store 10 and 50 muvees respectively. If you continue making more beyond these limits, we'll automatically delete your older muvees to make room for the new ones.

29. How do I show my muvee off?
That's more like it! Log in and go to your gallery. Click on a muvee that you like and you'll be able to see the source code required to embed a muveeMix player on your blog/website.

Not into code? You can just copy the unique URL provided, and paste it in your blog/website/email so all your friends can click on it and marvel at your genius.

30. Where can I post my muvees?
Practically anywhere: Multiply, MySpace, Facebook, Friendster, Blogger, LiveJournal, Xanga, Typepad, Tagworld and many others.

Got a personal website? Go ahead and embed the muveeMix player or paste the URL that links to your muvee.

31. Hey, what's with this error message: "A script in this movie is causing Macromedia Flash Player to run slowly." during upload? Should I be worried?
No worries, this is just a warning message from Adobe's Flash player. Just click "Cancel" or "No" when the following message appears: "Do you want to abort the script?". Your upload will continue as normal.

This message may appear more than once, depending on the size of the media you're uploading. Just click "No" each time you see it. We're waiting for a fix from our pals at Adobe, so sit tight and bear with us just a little longer.
